    I SUPPORT CHANGE....

    by: Pink Princess

(There's still time to get these in.  Commissioners of the Trust Funds, anyone? - promoted by Brian)

I will be voting for change in Saturday's election.  Across the board I think we need to "shake" things up.  I for one would like to hear fresh ideas, see new faces and hopefully some positive changes.

Thank you to all current members of the School Committee and Parks and Rec.  I am sure you have put tireless hours into your positions.  However I for one hope to see CHANGE in School Committee and the Parks and Rec departments.

Pink Princess, I agree.  I cannot in good consciense support a school committee that has responded so inadequetly to questions about special ed services.  Aren't these people supposed to be supporting our kids and making decisions on our behalf for the best for our kids?  Especially the ones who need special education?  They should be yelling from the rooftops to answer questions regardless of whetehr they come from this blog or their neighbors or parents or teachers!!  They should be making it very clear what happened, dispelling rumors and taking responsibilty for whatever mistake the superintendent made.  Clearly there were mistakes and we need to hold these people responsible.  Let's get some fresh faces on the committee who can look at things and the way things are done in the schools objectively. I support the new guys.

    I agree! (0.00 / 0)
Hopefully this will be a lesson learned. It is much better to admit a mistake directly than to ignore the question!

Legacy Place has been around for a year now. How do you like it?
Great! I go there all the time.
Good. I'm glad we have it, but I don't go often.
It's OK. Doesn't affect me one way or another.
Bad. It's been a net-negative for the town.
Terrible! I wish they never built it.
