(Way to go, girls! - promoted by Brian)

The Dedham Girls U-14 team defeated Wilmington this morning (4-0) and followed that win with a victory over Whitman (2-0) to claim Dedham's second consecutive Division 2 State Title at the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC).

Video highlights to follow in later edits to this diary, but for now here are a couple of photos:

    Congratulation!!! (0.00 / 0)
Nice job girls.  I hope they all consider playing for DHS.

    Lots and Lots (0.00 / 0)
Of the 17 girls on the team, only two are attending private high schools.  A couple may play field hockey or engage in other activities, but the majority of them hope to suit up for DHS varsity soccer in the future.

Some pre-game and post-game photos from Dedham's state champs. Still working on the video highlight reel.  My apologies for these photos being heavily skewed toward my kids, but nobody was paying me so that's who I snapped.

    Poll
Legacy Place has been around for a year now. How do you like it?
Great! I go there all the time.
Good. I'm glad we have it, but I don't go often.
It's OK. Doesn't affect me one way or another.
Bad. It's been a net-negative for the town.
Terrible! I wish they never built it.
